To feel safe while learning to float and practicing floating on your own, connect yourself to a mooring you trust and start at the beginning. The beginning is not blowing bubbles or "push and glide" of traditional lessons. It starts long before that. Every tiny step, including those you never heard of and never would have thought about is in this book, Conquer Your Fear of Water (now in its sec...
Become a SCUBA Diver after you've overcome fear of deep water
Переглядів 1016 місяців тому
At the beginning of our diving course, our students are blown away that they can breathe under water. A lifetime of being afraid in water has been overcome to the extent that they're ready to learn SCUBA. Still, this is a strange idea for awhile! miracleswimming.com It doesn't have to be scary to overcome fear of deep water.

Learned freestyle after she had overcome fear
Переглядів 6457 місяців тому
Hazel overcame her fear of water, the most important step of learning to swim. In fact once she could hang out in deep water for as long as she wanted, she said, "I can swim!" This past week, from Saturday to Friday, she learned to do freestyle. Once fear is gone, it takes about 30 hours to learn the stroke (10 hours on land with video feedback and discussion plus 20 hours in the pool). This is...

thanks a lot for your video, I am a new swimmer, when I get in water I feel that pressure. i thought that I have heart failure or that I will have a heart attack or something. thanks alot <3
Karen this is outstanding! #Hi5
Cool, calm, collected. Go Selwyn, go! Thank you Melon Dash and Miracle Swim, I'm next. Love, Black Dove in Cincinnati OH.
You're welcome, Black Dove. Thank you.
How deep is that sir 8 feet ?
Could be 15-20
No way its 15 feet.its like 9 feet
I wish I could take this class 🤗
Wish you could, too. We're working to get this available everywhere.
Gorgeous... Must my feet stay on the floor the whole time.
My concern is my feet
If your feet naturally rest there, then yes. Don't lift them. If they come off the bottom on their own, let them. In other words, let them go where they naturally go and leave them there.

Is this a part of the Essentials 1, Essentials 2, or Deep Water Play class?

True. If I understand you. Couldn't help it that day!
Congrats on your newest patent to add to the other one Melon! Also for anyone else watching this I bought one after taking the Ess 1 class. It help tremendously with me continuing to build on what I learned!
So peaceful, I need this so much.
You can do it. Start with tiny steps. Buy the book.
I have used this method of teaching the back float for over 50 years. When I learned it, I knew it was a game changer, especially little ones who want to put their feet on the wall and push off which causes you to go under. This method also automatically teaches people how to stand back up by allowing your feet to touch. Love it!
That's awesome!!
I'm 25 years old and I'm feeling that way, is there anything I can do to make it go away?
Read the text below the video
Beautiful!
There are no words to express the joy I feel watching this. I need to finally learn myself. ❤
Congratulations. I have the same testimony. Miracle Swimming is The Truth!
I want to learn, had a traumatic experience as a pre teen. 60 now, live in Cincinnati OH. Where can I go?
Go to MiracleSwimming.com. Come to Sarasota FL or Chicagoland to learn. We have courses in Palm Springs and Atlanta at various times of the year.
Congratulations 🎉!!

Wow..too good...she learnt the flip turn as well...
And a flip turn?! Standing O, indeed!
Question: can someone be too buoyant to swim under water?
Miracles happen
You did an awesome job!! Congratulations!!!
Is this Essentials 1 or 2?
This is E2.
It’s the same concept, shallow or deep, they just need to prove it to themselves
Nay, the instructor has to lead them to the correct conclusion by experience. That's what an instructor is for.
How can someone muster up the comfort, courage and confidence from reading a book or watching an online video and apply it actual swimming???
The book musters it up! The reader, given what the culture tells him/her, would not be able to muster it up on his/her own if they're really afraid. Anyone can learn to swim, but not in typical swimming lessons or with books that say that learning to swim and be safe in deep water requires learning strokes. That's misinformation.

Congratulations, Mike!!🎉
You go, Rose! 🎉
I'm impressed, encouraged & inspired..
Awesome!
Is this confidence gained by trial and error regardless whether they are in control of themselves?
Heck no! :-) It's not trial and error. We would not subject people to such pain. It is our system that builds confidence. You're seeing the results. They only do what they are in control doing.
@@MelonDashMiracleSwimming it took me years to get to certain level of confidence and being comfortable in the water and at times it was scary, but I hunkered down and did everything by trial and error whether I was comfortable doing it or not, it eventually paid off but I see your course can accomplishes this in only a week. That’s great
Are they exhaling under water because I see no bubbles, are they holding their breath the whole time they are bobbing up and down??
If you see no bubbles, they can't be exhaling. They are holding their breath if there are no bubbles (unless they're there and we can't see them).
I don’t know. I can’t see how your students can keep their heads in the water that long. I need to come up for air after every other stroke. Since I had Covid 2 years ago I have tachypnea as a long symptom. Even when resting I can get this symptom.
Give yourself all the air you need whenever you need it. The students are not pushing themselves.
Is holding ones nose when jumping into a pool a practice your swim course frowns on because you want your students to have breathing control in any circumstance?
Heck no! :-) We want them to do the comfortable thing: to stay in the 1st Circle! If someone isn't holding their nose, it means they've already learned how to keep water out without holding it.
Great drill, what's the next step ,do i kick to being my legs ups?
No. Leave your legs down. Watch again.
@@MelonDashMiracleSwimming Hello. Yes I am able to replicate the steps in the video. After I can float do I learn to kick while backfloating?
NO. Next is to pull yourself along with your arms. Let your legs trail, even if they're down. That doesn't matter now. @@ashubabbar3637
@@ashubabbar3637 You could. But you'll get more from pulling. Don't add arms unless you can be calm. I don't give swimming lessons on UA-cam so if you want the rest, pls read my book. Everything you ever wanted to know about learning to swim and never got in lessons is there. Conquer Your Fear of Water, A Revolutionary Way...
Кайф :)
Why the emphasis on wearing goggles? Does it help people get more comfortable when their entire head is submerged in the water?
There's no emphasis on it. We teach people to open their eyes under water without them. Once they're comfortable with that, why not wear goggles, giving them vision and more control.
Let me ask you this question. Do you ever get a student that seems to be a bit over confident (basically you think they are comfortable but are really not) and then after they jump into the deep, they get into trouble and need assistance?
No, that doesn't happen. Our teaching is more than what to DO. It's about BEING. We don't start anything until people are quiet inside...or at least quiet enough to have fun with what they're trying.
Thanks for this video i was trying back floating but i always drawned . I was very sad weather i will learn it or not But after watching this video just in 2 days i learnt back float . So thank you

This channel great, this tips is everything
Thank you. MiracleSwimming.com Book, podcast, video, tethers
Thanks for posting these clips. One day I hope to be able to dive in just like this - calm and in control. With diving, it always feels like there's a missing piece. I stand on the side and freeze up!
As long as you're not spending time learning strokes, but learning something relevant like like how to be present and calm, you'll get there!
@@MelonDashMiracleSwimming Update: I did it! Imperfectly, but calmly. Your ebook really helped.
This is awesome
Excellent and very inspiring. I wish to join and be free from aquaphobia 1 day.
Thank you so much.
You're welcome. miracleswimming.com
Can I try this in shallow water to practice before going in deep end? I am so nervous of jumping in deep water, but my swim instructor keeps telling me I have to do it to pass the class. I don't know how to swim in deep water
Please do not jump into deep water unless you can remain in control for the jump and the return to the side. Passing the class is meaningless if you can't be comfortable doing the skills. It's not time to pass until you are COMPLETELY comfortable.
@@MelonDashMiracleSwimming thank you for responding and for your advice.
